Research into practice
In 2018 the group completed a three-storey cross-laminated timber residence in Suzhou — among the first CLT buildings in China — taking engineered timber from research to a delivered, occupied home.

CLT from Southeast Asian timber
The group holds the complete, proprietary know-how for cross-laminated timber manufactured from Southeast Asian timber species — developed through in-house research programmes, an extensive body of structural test data, and peer-reviewed publication. The outcome: engineered timber produced from the region’s own resource, for the region’s own construction.
R&D delivered in-house
Neacemka runs the full development chain as principal: species selection, material development, structural testing, engineering design, and construction of the finished building — the same chain that delivered the Suzhou residence. Licensing and commercialisation enquiries are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Recognition
Recognition within the group’s leadership includes the UAE Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure Research & Innovation Award 2023, Fellowship of the Institution of Civil Engineers (FICE), and 100+ peer-reviewed publications.
